July Update 3

IMG_20160724_092818-01 We wanted to update each of you that continue to faithfully pray and support us here in Honduras. As we mentioned in our last letter, Ronnie Doss decided that we were no longer a good fit for the property where we were serving and asked us to leave. We moved to Santa Rosa, about 30 minutes away, and have been looking for opportunities to serve while we wait on the Lord.
Chris has been able to preach twice for Pastor Edgardo at Macedonia Baptist here in town, and was also asked to preach by Juan Carlos back at the church in Planes. Chris was excited to be presented with these opportunities and was thankful to be able to serve the sweet people in the region of Copan. Calvary Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, TN shipped us 17,000 John and Romans as well as 700 full Bibles. We were very happy to receive them and want to say a huge thank you to the wonderful people there. We have already been able to distribute quite a few of them in some of the small neighboring churches and even were able to share some with fellow missionaries, Mike Veasey and Matt Goins. We pray for much fruit and fruit that will remain from these Scriptures.
We have secured some Spanish tutors here in Santa Rosa and have started lessons. It is exciting to be able to make more progress on the language as we wait to see what our next step will be. Please keep us in prayer and also pray for the the ministry in La Esperanza that we used to work in. May God use the Jarvis family tremendously there. IMG_20160718_200036We are praying about a possible ministry opportunity in the town of Comayaugua, about 5 hours from where we currently live. We don’t know if this is where God is leading us, but it is a possibility. Again, a huge thank you to each of you that keeps in touch, prays for, and supports us. You mean the world to us!

So thankful the Lord has found areas for you to serve him close to where you are and will be praying that the Lord provides clarity and discernment as to your next location. Only the Lord will reveal in due time the true purpose he had for you in serving in Honduras. That is a sweet family picture you posted!!
