Greetings from Sikeston, Missouri to all our wonderful supporters! Since our last update, we drove from western Pennsylvania down to Pensacola, Florida. We had a great meeting with Pastor Jonathan Eason at Grace Baptist. What a great church! We drove to Okatie, South Carolina and had a meeting with Landmark Baptist the following Sunday, who took us on for support in their morning service
We are so excited to be a step closer to full support and to partner with another faithful church. Sunday evening, we drove to the Atlanta area and were able to be with one of our supporting churches, Pinecrest Baptist in McDonough. We love this church and what God is doing there. It was a blessing to be able to spend time with Beth’s sister and her family who live in the area before we leave for Honduras. Madison, Mississippi was our most recent stop. New Life Baptist and Pastor Cory Stickles are doing a great job and we are excited to see how God is using them in their community.
On our way to our next meeting in Lewistown, Illinois, we were able to stop here in Sikeston, Missouri and present our work at Old Bethel Baptist Church.
We have traveled many miles since our last update, and are so thankful for safety! Please don’t stop praying as we still have many miles to go before flying out to Honduras.
We are thankful to report that Charlotte and Clara’s passports have been applied for and we will have them in hand by the end of the month. We might be biased, but we seem to think these are the cutest passport pictures ever taken. Chris is currently working on a plethora of documentation required to get residency in Honduras. Our support level is close to the 90% mark, praise the Lord! There is still much support promised, but not yet received, and we are hoping and praying to be able to add to our support level quickly.
We will be stopping in western Pennsylvania on our way from Illinois to Connecticut to say goodbye to Beth’s family. If you are in the area, please stop by Mt. Zion Baptist Church on the evening of November 10th to see us! We only have about a month left before our departure and we are eager to arrive. Our ministry partners, the Jarvis family, have been in Honduras for a couple of weeks now, and hearing reports from them makes us excited to get involved.
We need each and every one of you to pray for us to finish deputation strongly, to be safe as we drive all over the country in the next month, and for our transition to Honduras to go smoothly. Also, if we have met you in the last couple of years and you were interested in coming down for a missions trip, please don’t hesitate to contact us and set up a date. We strongly encourage you to come and visit and see what God is doing.
