As March progresses rapidly, we find ourselves in the midst of several missions conferences. We are in the middle of the conference at Fellowship Baptist in Columbus, Ohio right now. This church plays a huge role in BEMA, who handles our funds, and we are very grateful for the wonderful people we have had the privilege to meet here. The people at Fellowship have done a great job spoiling us and we are very much enjoying the conference. The attached photo is from a trip that Fellowship took us on to the science center in Columbus. Charlotte enjoyed it immensely.
Next week, we will be in a conference at Pinecrest Baptist in McDonough, GA, followed by two more conferences back here in Ohio. As always, please pray for our safe travels as we will be logging several hundred miles in the upcoming weeks.
We are thrilled to report that we have received several new supporting churches! Many thanks to Ridgeview Baptist in Walland, TN, True Gospel Baptist in Sweetwater, TN, and Crossroads Baptist in Peoria, Ill for their promised support. We are thrilled and humbled to be partnering with you for the sake of the Gospel in Honduras. This puts us firmly at 50% of our desired support, and we pray that these current and upcoming missions conferences will increase that. We are eager to arrive in Honduras!
Chris logged thousands of miles this past month. We are grateful for his safety as he drove from south Georgia to Illinois, Tennessee to Pennsylvania, and Ohio to Illinois on different trips. The truck has held up well and we are thankful for it.
Another praise is that things have changed with our plans for the birth of our second child, and a doctor has contacted us who is willing to allow Beth to attempt a natural birth as opposed to another C-section. This is exciting news for two reasons. Beth very much wanted this and it is enormously cheaper than major surgery. We believe that God has orchestrated this change in plans and we could not be happier about it. The birth costs, if everything is normal and uncomplicated, will still be over $5,000, but this is a huge decrease in expected price from a planned C-section. Praise the Lord! Please continue to pray for the health and safety of both Beth and baby throughout the rest of the pregnancy and birth. We are excited to meet this little one!
